Same sex wedding

Wedding in the top of the Sierra Madre - Joel & Jesus

Gay couple wearing tuxedos walking over the Jorullo Bridge at the Canopy River park before their wedding ceremony.

Canopy River, same sex wedding.

From the bottom of my heart: I couldn't be more proud and privileged to have been a witness of the union I captured on this day, Joel and Jesus are friends of mine since quite a while, and for that reason I felt more connected, most of my work is on the beach, and this whole wedding took place on the top of a mountain, at the Canopy River base camp surrounded by the Sierra Madre, something a little different, it is not often to me that I get to be in a place like this, epic!

The ceremony was beautiful and the weather was perfect, the day was simply memorable, but above all, particularly for me the pinnacle of this wedding was during the reception, when Joel and Jesus grab the microphones, stepped into the scenario and started singing from deep within their souls, like singing is ment to be, like love is ment to be...thank you for letting me be there.

Wedding in Mexico - Alex & Kevin

Gay couple standing in the sun light with a dark door behind and about to kiss, at the main entrance at La Mansion Vallarta villa.

When I decided to capture Alexander and Kevin's story, all I knew was that there was going to be a welcome party with all the friends and family; no one ever tells you that even at a pre-wedding gathering the dancing and excitement will be part of the celebration, a surprise to all the guests with fire-dancers and the yelling "sexy" from the crowd put the cherry on the top, just for the beggining of this love story.

Ceremony at the romantic sunset of Puerto Vallarta and a rocking first dance from the grooms, that included lighted up sneakers and exact timing moves with the fireworks, made an spectacular evening that is going to be really hard for all the wedding guest to forget.

Destination wedding - Coy & Reagan

Coy and Reagan's union celebration took place at Villa las Ventanas, up in the Amapas hill, south of Puerto Vallarta, all the friends that came down to Mexico with helped to set up the details to give the "cherry on top" feels and make this story unique, lightin candles and make them float in the pool, the Trump's bust piñata, and the cheers, claps, hugs and kisses, to make them feel beloved on their start of this new life as married couple.

Playa Fiesta destination wedding - Isabella & Cassandra

Lesbian wedding couple having a laugh on the rocks at the edge of the pacific ocean at Playa Fiesta hotel, south of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Although Isabella and Cassandra's story started very peaceful with only the two of them helping each other to get ready for the ceremony, tears, hugs and craziness quickly appeared to bring life and unique moments to the newly-wed's epic day.
The four major items I loved about this destination wedding: odd looking rocks, crashing waves right behind the couple during their photo session, their "Mrs & Mrs" umbrella, and of course.....their custom named running shoes.
